Kris, welcome back!

yes, that is why I have modified the original working title of Jacobite Horse to Enthusiastic Horse. They of course could guise as anyone, in fact I have a mind to use a mixture of all Horse codes for Oxfords Blews.

As a link to the men of Enniskillen and Derry, Clarence and I have finalized flags sheets with what we feel are interesting and symbolic emblems for Lloyds, Tiffins, Hamiltons and St Johns regiments. These will be released in the firts batch of 8 sheets which are all Williamite units.

I was thinking the Jacobite troopers would be a good choice for Inniskilling cavalry as well.

Can't wait to see the full horse range. Been lurking here for a while as rl has made it hard to get much painting done

I'd like to think it was the quality of the sculpt and not of the painting that sealed the deal

Needless to say, It was indeed a high water mark in my single figure transactions 8)

Probably never to be repeated but at least it happened once

Aye, I heard about that deal. And to think I got out of painting and into sculpting to make money.

Particularly the response of the chap at Salute eh? He was so enthused he offered Barry a deal he couldn't refuse in exchange for one of the painted samples...

I was really delighted at the response to the new Warfare cavalry at SALUTE today. Very encouraging.

I will have news of further substantial additions to the range very soon

Amen to that (cue: standing ovation)...
I think MOST troopers would look more like this and less like the fully equipped drawings you see in most books. These men would be infrequently paid, mostly illiterate, poor and generally not the swankiest folks on the planet!
Yes we wargamers would benefit greatly to take that philosophy to heart and to get away from the button & rivet counting in nearly any era. I know I needlessly complicated a decade or three in this hobby with that latter (riveted) sort of approach.
I am really looking forward to getting them on the table
Same here, but at the same time, no specific rush. I intend to enjoy the creation of this particular era of military history.

PS Not Sam Smith's IPA influenced...yet...will be viewing the recorded Celtic League Rugby match this evening. Then... :D

Clibanarium has really done a great job on these. I agree with Rob, they should not be thought of as exclusively Jacobite - that was the sculpting brief. I think MOST troopers would look more like this and less like the fully equipped drawings you see in most books. These men would be infrequently paid, mostly illiterate, poor and generally not the swankiest folks on the planet!
Mhy own plan is to use them not only for the Jacobites but also for French and Oxford's Blues.
I am really looking forward to getting them on the table

looks good, i like the one without the helmet. the troopers look like they are loaded on Brandy which probably was the case

Splendid! Though I'm thinking less Jacobite and more French.

Will you have a charging command pack to go with them?

Here is a link to a selection of pix from the soon to be released Horse codes. Here you will find Jacobite troopers and some of the more conventionally dressed Horse.
