Re: Offensive Miniatures French Napoleonic artillery review

Thanks for the review. I've been looking at Offensive for some time now but not pulled the trigger. I really like their Polish figures so I might just have to give them a try.

I too think this is a great looking unit. How do you do those bases? They are awesome.

They look beautiful. I hope my 1806 Saxons can look at good as these.

Re: Warfare Miniatures and Historicon

Even though Buddy represents Front Rank, Elite Miniatures, Warfare Miniatures, and a few others he does NOT attend, as a dealer, the largest historical gaming convention here in the States. I've asked him about that and his response was that he's doing well enough via mail order and he's happy with ...

Re: Saxon cavalry flags for 1806 campaign

Gunter,

Did I send you a PM? I don't remember! But I'm also curious about the Chevau-leger. One source says the saddelcloth was in the facing color while another shows them as red for all the Chevau-leger. Any ideas? Thank you so much.

Absolutely beautiful. I love the pop of color on them. Fantastic.

Re: LOA Fitzjames Horse?

The Hall CDs show a different uniform for this period. Jim, I believe that you may have painted the WAS/SYW uniform and saddlecloth. But I guess in the long run it doesn't matter as long as you're happy with them. What Hall shows is red coat, red cuffs, buff pants, silver buttons and red saddlecloth...

Re: French Revolutionary Austrian Hussars

I've painted up a small 12 figure unit of Eureka Austrian Chevaux-legers and they look fantastic. Very different in style from Elite and I think you'll like them.

Being 'mad/insane' is the reason we game! I'd say go for it.

Gunter,

I'm the same as Dave. I'll basically take whatever you can give us but if you give ME a choice I'd say 1695 - 1721.

Re: Anyone interested in an R2E campaign?

I like the idea. Maybe our group here in Atlanta could have a single command. We won't have enough figures to put on a game but we, as a group, could work on a command.

Another 1806 Saxon question

I keep reading that part of what the Saxons sent along with the Prussians was the one Hussar unit of 8 squadrons but I have yet to find that unit or sections of it in any OOB. Can someone shed some light on where this unit was deployed during the campaign?
