I must admit that I prefer the system used in BtLB and RtE for the sole reason that I didn't spend all that time painting the little buggers up just to see them languishing on a shelf; I enjoy the spectacle too much.
3. Produce a new book that incorporates revised mechanisms and other new useful and related period material like scenarios. Barry, I really enjoy these rules and would be averse to seeing them changed beyond all recognition. Why fix what isn't broken? Now, having got that off my chest, there are re...
Hi Jim, From what limited reading I have done on the period so far, column of attack was not a viable or recognised formation although, having said that, someone will no doubt point out the exceptions that prove the rule. Columns were used mainly for getting from one part of the battlefied to anoth...
Thanks for the answers. Rather than create a new topic, I thought I'd continue this post with request for your methods of basing. Not the size of bases, but the materials used.

Based six to a 60mm x 40mm stand for infantry and three to a 75mm x 40mm stand for cavalry. I started off usin...
...Ooooo... I want to paint up the mistresses!!! :D Clarence, As you probably know, I am just getting into this period and starting to collect some serious lead. I like the look of Barry's "Luxembourg" vignette in the BtLB rulebook and this has given me a thought for a commander base to represent m...
