Re: NEWS ON RELEASES*NEWS ON RELEASES

Oooh, oooh, does that mean we'll get a Danish Grenadier hauling Willy out of the river by the scruff of the neck? That would be awesome

Re: Gardes te Voet

According to an earlier post by someone who no longer wants his posts on here, :), the cadets had gray coats lined red. They constisted of one company attached to one of the battalions. IIRC the post also stated that one of the battalions stayed in England. Yup, that's exactly where I got the infor...

Re: Brandenburg Uniform Questoin (battle of the boyne)

Thanks Andy, don't suppose you have any pics of some white painting like this. I don't have vallejo ivory though. I do have the bleach bone (game color equivalent) and the vallejo off white. Do you think id be close to vallejo ivory by mixing by mixing in a little bleached bone to the off white?. I...

Re: First of many

Those look wonderful.

Seconded on the flags query, and, what did you make the little sprigs for the field signs out of?

Re: Brandenburg Uniform Questoin (battle of the boyne)

On to stockings. I did end up painting them blue but primarily because I have to say I am one of these people that cant seem to paint white correctly!. I did try it first using light grey, sky grey and then off white but it mainly just looked messy compared to the grey coat so i switched over to bl...

Re: More Dutch Foot Guard

D-man 8) is correct, they are supposed to represent the Cadet Company which comprised the right flank of the 2nd Battalion.

More Dutch Foot Guard

I've just managed to complete a 2nd Battalion of these chaps in what feels like fairly record time for me. Once again it's Front Rank figures and Flag Dude flags. http://i469.photobucket.com/albums/rr55/xhequimunqui/DutchGuard1.jpg http://i469.photobucket.com/albums/rr55/xhequimunqui/DutchGuard2.jpg...

Re: Road to Salamanca

Aha, the flash thing finally makes sense. I wondered what you were on about previously when you were talking about it taking several coats of varnsh to take away the shine - I've always found 1 of Vallejo's matt varnish to be enough. So you'll just have to switch off the flash and rely on the bounti...

Re: Clanrickarde's Regiment of Foot

Thanks for the comments chaps. I thought long and hard about the position of the Grenadiers before basing any of my Battalions, and in the end, I guess it comes down to how you see your sodjers and what you think they're representing. In my mind, this is a representation of the Battalion deployed in...

Clanrickarde's Regiment of Foot

Finally got the flags for these chaps from the Flag Dude. http://i469.photobucket.com/albums/rr55/xhequimunqui/Clanrickarde1.jpg http://i469.photobucket.com/albums/rr55/xhequimunqui/Clanrickarde2.jpg http://i469.photobucket.com/albums/rr55/xhequimunqui/Clanrickarde3.jpg http://i469.photobucket.com/a...

Re: Clanrickarde Regiment

More threadnomancy, but I thought I'd stick a shot of the chaps I've just finished in here as well as in the Gallery sub-forum. All part of my evil plan :P

Very nice indeed. They definitely look at ease - positively brimming with it.

Smarten up you lot, don't you know there's a war on?

Re: 10mm WSS

Well shave my tricorn and stick a bag on me  those look very impressive indeed. I was messing about in 10mm WSS for a while myself but it had gradually begun to slip to one side as I started working on 28mm stuff, so I really know how impressive this work is. It might even inspire me enough to ...
