The intention is to produce a "generic" WSS infantry figure with several head gear options included on the sprue. Something that will pass in dim light for most nations, although details will not be correct. My personal hope is that they are able to include heads in karpus, and pikes allowing for GN...

I realize that is probably far too late for this to matter but... I am well known for my reluctance to partake of anything even remotely Napoleonic...but this cover would certainly get me to pick up the book and give it a leaf through. I don't need to know anything about the wars of that upstart Bon...

Thank you Gentlemen.

The Jacobite Wars in Ireland seem a good starting place. Actions of about the size I like, and troops that can be used easily for other places as well.

Eastern Europe is also a good possibility as I like the colourful troops involved.

Gaming the Period on a 6x4 foot table?

I am looking to begin gaming this period, most likely with BLB as they seem to give the sort of game I am looking for, I am limited to a 6x4 foot table though. My preference is for 28mm figures for their visual "heft", but am not opposed to using other scales. I most enjoy gaming (relatively) smalle...

I am not a Canadian, although the Ottawa gaming club keeps trying to make me one). I live a stone's throw from the border.

Come to think of it I am closer to Kingston than Quebec.

Thank you very much for the article. Quebec City is relatively close to me and I knew nothing about this.

Colonial history was not well taught when I was a lad. I am finding a lot of facinating local history, King Philip's War, Pontiac's Rebellion, the AWI, the F&IW. etc.

So, I'm here now

Finally after no little effort I am on the forum. I have to confess that LoA/WSS gaming is on hold for the moment while I deal with my AWI lead pile. 3 scales worth, so it may take me a bit. I haven't quite settled on a scale for Marlburian gaming yet. 15mm is my overall favorite scale, but 6mm does...
