French and german numbers

Specifically the numbers of infantry in each company and regiment, assuming each regiment was split into two battalions.

Basically I'm trying to find out organizational unit sizes.

Thanks,

Lord Marcus

Re: Wargames factory WSS question

Bill,

Thank you, that is most Generous. Now i'll be able to test out how they'll look on round bases for my sci-fi-pseudo historical forces as well!

Question as I'm new to the period and as such the abbreviations.

1. BLB?

Re: Wargames factory WSS question

Sounds wonderful. Considering there are not that many who play at the time period (most are ancients or napoleonics or FoW) I'd be getting them to paint. I'd really only be able to play at one of the 2 conventions held each year here in central Florida, and even then only if there are players who se...

Wargames factory WSS question

I have one question to any that have bought either box of the War of the Spanish Succession line by Wargames Factory.

Are they acceptable?

The reason I say acceptable is because that is what i have come to expect from WGF since their mediocre amazons.

Re: Good 28mm and 15mm systems?

Can a game be done with only a few units per side as we build up our armies?

Good 28mm and 15mm systems?

Hi all,

I recently broached the subject of getting into Napoleonic's with my local club. They were interested, but asked me to round up some info regarding systems.

Currently we are not decided on scale, so I thought i would ask for reccomended systems for 28 and 15mm.

thanks in advance,

LM

Re: One Battle to rule them all - Napoleonic

Either the battle of Somosierra or Elyau. I don't think so. The prussians were using an outdated system of both organization and tactics (linear warfare) whereas the French under napoleon had around a century of musings and refinement to the french strategies (something with the word Aout at the en...

Re: Historical miniature collector, non-historical use

My good sir Coffindodger,

Indeed, you may be right. however one can never be too careful. Especially since some historical modellers get too uptight about accuracy.
