I'm happy with whatever you decide, Günter :D

As so often with these things, the information is either incomplete or contradictory. Still, 1812 is awash with sources in comparison to my normal field of research!

Re: 18th Infantry Division, 3rd Army of the West

This link came from Bryce and, although showing a guards drummer, seemingly applied to those in line regiments as well: http://русские-витязи.рф/Uniform15 This site also mentions the drummers having red plumes (however, it does use the old pompom colours): http://www.museum.ru/1812/Army/RussInfanter...

Re: 18th Infantry Division, 3rd Army of the West

I picked up the red plume from a link Bryce kindly sent my way. I'm away from home until Friday, but will see what I can dig out over the weekend :D

Re: 18th Infantry Division, 3rd Army of the West

Very smart.

I'll ask these to save me making a mistake with my own project, so please shoot me down if I'm wrong.

Shouldn't the elite company drummer have a red plume?

Shouldn't half the elite company be sharpshooters, ie with different coloured pompous?

Re: French Horse Artillery c.1812

The Russians are riding UNICORNS, now that is news, +2 for their horn at least    Can you explain to a backwater Saxon what Horn you mean?  I'm not sure I like the way this is heading!  I've no problem with Foundry infantry (the cavalry look a bit odd), and ...

Re: French Horse Artillery c.1812

As I already have Ledru's French 10th Division, and the start of Razout's 11th, I'm going to focus on Valutina-Gora, Günter.

So I'll kick off with the 3rd Infantry Division and see where that leads me :D
