Bruno is picking up 3 copies for Axel, Sam and myself from Caliver at Cavalier;
Can't get there myself as I'll be at the Hamburger Tactica.

Re: Here come the Russians

Well my rationale for poses was to give both sides standing and marching poses, and then give the Swedes charging poses since that was their preferred tactic, and the Russians firing and defensive poses in response. Of course the Swedes did form firing lines, but the charge seems more emblematic of...

Re: New Book on GNW in English

My friends Axel, Sam and of course me would be very interested in those books. If you could let me know when they become available I would very much appreciate it. When visiting the comsimworld site I got the impression it was actually a card driven game, but I probably overlooked something. Thanks ...

Re: Figure question??

Brother Vinni has a few kneeling slave girls that would be very similar to the ones in the Donnybrook book. http://www.brother-vinni.com/shop.htm#!/Kneeling-Slaves/p/40041330/category=5965007 This one is also very useful. Comes with different heads at least one with a suitable hairstyle for a 'lady'...

Re: Which faction will YOU do?

I believe Redoubt does a very useful range of Indians for the Clive period.
At a pinch many of the older Foundry Indian Mutiny figures could be used especially the cavalry.

Obviously a regiment with a history to be very proud of.
It's a shame that current politics and economics often dictate that such units can't be given the place of honour they deserve.
But as long as there are people like you Michael they will certainly never be forgotten.
Well done Sir!

Swedish language help

While Flemish must be distantly related to Swedish I'm very uncertain when reading certain Swedish texts. Got myself a few excellent books on the GNW but stil looking for some extra info on the internet. I'm not sure if there are any Swedish members here on the forum, but perhaps someone could help ...

Great Northern War 'Active' firing line?

I know the Swedish firing line won't be in the first wave of figures, but I would just like to push this idea around a bit. Is there such a thing as an 'active' firing line? By which I mean figures not just standing still and giving fire or loading, but more like figures firing under pressure. ie cr...

Re: Scanian War 1675-1679 "Snapphane style"

Really nice AAR! Poor Swedes losing at the very last moment. I have the feeling that if the escorters would have been dragoons it would have turned out differently. I had absolutely no idea rifles were already that popular and in widespread use during that early period. Were there ever any specific ...
