Many thanks guys for the kind comments, Yeah, this time I wanted to introduce at least 3 different versions or shades of the same colour in the uniforms in order to add some variety and realism :)

Re: 28mm Tercio de Burgos, the "Old Yellows"

Two Questions have occurred to me: The first one: While starting to paint a unit of Saxon I go to try Burnt Umbra as Primer which I noticed to work quite well with red - maybe with yellow too? Second: The length of your Pikes... are those the 10cm long ones provided by Northstar or did you cut them...

Re: TYW Cavalry

Very nice unit Gunfreak! Avanpost miniatures I see, great sculpts, maybe the horses are smaller than other manufacturers, but anyway, I hope they make more sculpts for cavalry soon.

Cheers

Re: Battle of Maureillas 1674, in 28m

I think it wasnt until around 1695 that some regiments had black hats in the Iberian regiments. Also you represented the cut...

The siege of Dendermonde 1667, 28mm battle report

New blog entry: https://spanishleadpainting.blogspot.com/2019/03/the-defense-of-dendermonde-1667.html The battle I have chosen, is the siege of Dendermonde, and the cavalry skirmishes that followed the siege... Why? This is the first of the wars for "Gloire" of the Sun King, and, until this action, ...
