1. My lab ate a greek cavalry man once. The whole 28 mm thing. 2. Loaned a Parliament army out to my buddy at a convention. About 200 28mm Foundry and Old Glory minis. He puts the box on the edge of the table an it flips onto the floor. 200 gnarled Puritans ... He felt so bad I couldn't be mad. They...

It is a world best left unexplored by us I think. I believe Clarence and I did enough at Historicon to get on the radar of such 'nomination' situations for the future for whatever that is worth. I personally am not involved in the hobby to win 'gongs' my mission is much more evangelical  (as ...

These are a few pictures of WECW units from tournament play. While not as nice as some of the painting done here, the WECW units still look good. They armies are based for DBR but I can use them for any rules. http://i730.photobucket.com/albums/ww307/mbsparta/ECWMike3.jpg http://i730.photobucket.com...

Unfortunately i have played warhammer ecw but it always seemed to become a fire fight at ridiculous ranges, and characters which were ridiculous. As for simple rules i would have thought that victory without quarter would definitely fall into that catogary i do'nt think the mechanics could be any s...

"My problem with it is that my regular opponent does not like them. He seriously disagrees with certain aspects of the rules." .............. It might help if we knew what he objected to and what you guys are looking for. There aren't many ECW rules I haven't tried. Maybe we can find what you're loo...

Just a short comment on using BLB for ECW. I don't want the same rule system for every period I play. I like variety. One thing that makes BLB so refreshing to me, is that it is unique. For ECW I use WECW and have played 1644, DBR and other systems. Why would I want to use WECW for the late 17th and...

I finally got to read the Malplaquet article in Wargames Illustrated. Very nicely done Barry. Let me sum up the article. The author of BLB travels to Scotland (?) to play in the 300th anniversary re-fight of the famous battle of Malplaquet. He (and others) bring lots and lots of toys. They fight and...

So I am trying to hard to stay focused on one thing at a time. AWI is the current project and I have been so good. No ancients, no ECW, no WSS. But any more phots like these and I'll have to dig out the Front Rank and start painting. They are fantastic. Did you take the photos outside by any chance?...
