TRumpeters Banners

I am presently working on French Cavalry for LoA, but can find no information on the banners attached to trumpets that are modelled on the figures. Can anyone tell me anything about them? For example, were they miniature versions of the regiment's standard or something different?

Thanks

French Revolution

I want to use the rules for the above and have some questions: 1. Will the rules work at 40:1 as opposed to 20:1. 2. Third rank skirmishers. Both the Austrian and Prussian battalions could use their third rank for skirmish purposes. How would this be represented in the rules? 3. The rules restrict '...

Change of scale

I currently have figures based for another set of rules which by changing the figure ratio to 40:1 would be usable with R2E. While this would need adjustment of the ground scale, I am not certain if I would need to change the Combat Group. With a combat group of 4 figures being equal to 80 men, woul...

Re: Pendraken 10mm LOA range

The range consists of infantry only at present. And like many Pendraken enthusiasts, I am waiting patiently for the cavalry and artillery.

Modelling is excellent.

Suggest you join Pendraken Forum to keep in touch with releases and developments.

You might also try the Baccus website which has several CDs covering the other nationalities you mention.

Ray

As I said in most of the OOBs for which I have information there is no breakdown of gun types, only the total present. For games we adopt a general ratio of 3:2:1 / Light:Medium:Heavy.

Re: WSS-era Artillery and 28mm Front Rank Models

Don't know if it's of help, but I analysed 19 OOBs for artillery.

Although they rarely give a breakdown of the sizes, I found that on average there was a ratio of 1 gun per battalion.

Russian Headgear

Looking to start Crimean War project next year in 10mm.

Can anyone tell me whether I should look at Russian in fantry in Helmet, Cap or a mix of both?

Thanks

Typo?

Barry

The example of artillery fire on page states that the result of the 4-die roll could result in 3 casualties. Should that be 2 casualties? If 3, could you explain how that result is reached?

Cheers

Re: CAN NOW BE PRE ORDERED

3 now Barry. I rang home to see if it had arrived. From what my wife said it got the same treatment by our beloved postal service as mentioned above.

Look forward to reading and playing.

Matchlocks & flintlocks

Planning to start wargaming the 1690s using the new Pendraken 10mm, but do not know enough about the transition from matchlock to flintlock to know whether or not to buy both or just flintlock figures.

Help from those more knowledgable than myself would be appreciated.

Thanks
