Thank you Gentlemen I no longer use flexible bases (they only used to flex a little ... but it was a definite flex! ) The whole flexing thing was aggravated by my conversion to magnetising my bases where the act of removing the bases from storage encouraged the alleged flexing. :o I have used...

Welcome to the den Barry. And apparently a little bit of vice can be quite enjoyable!!

Can I take it that you've never had grout cracking and dropping off bases potentially because of flexing bases syndrome?

At the risk of subverting the thread (which has hopefully fulfilled it's reason for being already ) I'm interested in the use of tile grout on bases. I used to use coloured tile grout and found it wonderful to work with ... but ... found that it had a disconcerting habit of cracking and leaving...

Kevin and I ran a Napoleonic demo game at Claymore last weekend using his Calpe Prussians and my Front Rank and Foundry Russians. IMHO they looked great together. You can address the minor size differences easily with effective basing. Peter I concur. My Foundry Russians fit in nicely with my Front...

I second the Captain on the website! I am going to add a link from my site... my favorite sites are ones that provide commentary on the collections rather than just pretty pictures. Thank you very much Clarence. Glad you like the site. I would be 'tickled pink' (if anyone understands / has heard th...

Aw shucks.

Many thanks Edward. The Prussians were easy to make nice (assuming that we are talking the Napoleonic Prussians!) as they are all Calpe Miniatures!

Thanks for the information gents.

My worries about the rules treating Frenchmen as supermen is somewhat swatted. I await with interest the Napoleonic rules for those big games. :D

Oh, and good luck wuth the Ligny 1815 game ... and the D-Day weekend.

Hello Peter, err, Prince Andrei  Than you for your kind comments. Yes I have some of the Russian Emperors finest with a battalion of jagers about to be added to the fledgling 24th Division order of battle. I don't paint my own Russians as it takes me all my time to paint the Prussians and all ...

Thank you very much Barry. I'm beginning to realise that it was indeed the French CinC that was critical in the winning of the Waterloo refight for the French! The website is still developing (slowly). You probably missed it before because in general I'm not strongly promoting it and because I...

Actually good question but slightly Francophobic Peter  Yes, possibly guilty as charged. I have a bunch of Allied armies (aka the good guys trying to free their freedom loving peoples from the cruel and oppresive French yoke ) but I don't have a French army ... yet. My excuse is that I'...

The mag & article have even made their way to New Zealand. Congratulations on a great weekend and a great dossier. Several friends have already pawed over the article and accompanying pictures with various oohs and ahhhs. A question though ... do the French ever come second in your Napoleoonic games...

Excellent. I'm looking forward to the detailed maps, high quality & detailed write up, subsequent high command squabbling, and of course many photos already.

Oh - and don't forget the brave Prussian jagers
