Awesome Stuff!

I got my order today for my Highlanders and enclosed was the new La Iglesia de San Christobal scenario. I just wanted to commend Barry and Clarence on a job well done. I can't wait for the new Nappy book!

Here are two bases to add to the growing army. I am not happy with the pictures - they look a lot better in real life, but real life keeps me from buying a new camera right now! More pictures on my blog. Thanks for looking!

This is a picture of my field marshals for the 28mm Austrian army I am working on. These are Crusader 28mm. Sorry the pictures aren't better. More pictures at my blog.

I got the July 2009 issue a couple of days ago and very well-pleased. I'm a bit miffed why I haevn't received the box of minis I selected with the subscription as it said that you will receive them either with your first issue or within 28 days of ordering, neither of which occured. But the magazine...

I paid for my subscription in May and haven't gotten an issue yet. I hope buying a subscription was worth it.

I suppose I was looking for a few common regiment names and their uniform colors. The problem is that I have nothing to go on, but I have fallen in love with the war and the more I read about it, the more interested I am. Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I prefer books. The problem is that most of my uniform books are packed up because I moved back in May, and since I haven't sold my previous house yet, I cannot afford to build my bookshelves so that I can unpack them. And since I haven't sold my house, I can't afford any of the books that are...

Sweden in the Great Northern War

Hello, Are there any decent websites (preferably in English) that have units and their uniforms for the Swedish in the Great Northern War? I usually use Osprey books to assist in this, but they do not have one dedicated to Sweden in this period (at least not that I have been able to find) and the on...

Basing Question

Hello Again! I am getting ready to begin painting my Swedes this week and I had one question regarding basing. I know foot is supposed to be based on 45mm x 50mm, and the basing section says that 40mm x 40mm is fine (with 4 minis instead of 6). The question I have is if there is a problem with basin...

Speaking as someone who does not have an active historicals gaming group, I get my inspiration from the conventions I am able to attend, various historical wargaming blogs, and from forums like this! I never lack for enthusiasm for the hobby - I just wish I had an active group closer than 3-4 hours ...

Miniature Help

Hello!

I was observing my new Swedish miniatures from Underbed and I noticed there is a sort of rod above the scabbard. Is that a ramrod (I hope that is the official term) or the scabbard for the bayonet? And if so, what color should these be?

Thanks!
