Hi, yes I have tried them on both FoW miniatures (russians and germans) as well as on some testudo TYW miniatures and I am pleased with the way they turned out. One thing I found out was that the end-result is quite dependant shade of the base color. It took some time to figure which shade of the ba...

No one has tried these? I guess you all you build your own terrain - I wish I had the time :D Anyway, turns out that it was possible to order samples so it now remains to be seen if this is a short-cut to create my own wargames terrain.

Terraint mats?

Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with the following terrain mats: http://www.zuzzy.com/vf-ml-001_terra_fl ... g_mat.html? It looks like a really good idea, but you never know.

And by the way - Merry Christmas all,

Very interesting thread this - Mr Alpha are you using the the darkest shade that Armypainter has to offer? I am just wondering, since they look "lighter" than the other examples in this thread?

New interesting site/Online Magazine

Hi, I might be the last person on earth to have heard about this but in case I am not then here goes: there seems to be a new internet site/magazine covering miniatures, painting modelling etc. available for free and it can be found here: http://wargamespaintingandmodelling.wordpress.com/ . So far i...

Hi Barry,

no fire capability at all you say? Interesting approach! However, it rhymes quite well with the Swedish tactics with firing two times (at two different distances) and then closing ASAP.

I must agree with both of the previous commentators. Me and a friend travelled from Sweden to attend the show and the first thing we see are two over-weight men wearing SS cammo uniforms and between them a small boy dress as a hitlerjugend. Not really what we had expected! We also noticed a couple o...

Average combat distance?

Hi, recently me and a couple of friends had a discussion concerning average combat distances during WWII and we realized that we had no idea what we were talking about. Has there been any work published (preferably on the internet) concerning such an issue. I am aware that answers to this will be ve...

Hi,

you can find one picture of their greens (Swedes with karpus) on their yahoo groups site. I would like to hear your comments once you get the miniatures.

New 28mm GNW miniatures

Hi, I've just noticed that musketeer miniatures ( http://musketeer-miniatures.com/ ) will start releasing GNW miniature packs in August. Looking at their Russian and Swedish lists, they really look comprehensive. Have anyone here seen any greens etc apart from the little picture found on their yahoo...

The pub sounds nice, however I doubt my wife would find it as amusing as I would :D. We are however going to spend 5 days in Coventry so we will have time to travel around to some extent (excursions are however hampered by the fact that we have a small toddler to carry around). I increased my search...
