Thanks Colin. I managed to buy one on Ebay yesterday for $8.99 plus shipping to my US office. Having broken many assembled plastic kits planes recently for my Aerodrome WWI game it will be great to have something more robust in a larger scale.

My Sopwith Camel will come into service next game.

I was reading last night about the British expedition to Tibet in 1904 in which they attacked a monastery with their British and Indian troops.
I knew there had been precedent !

Interesting that the game resulted in the deaths of at least four of the faction leaders - Dale's , mine, Adrian's and Andrew N.'s. It was particularly sad to see my own Max Factor clubbed to death by his own former baggage handlers, gifted to Adrian's archaelologists in spirit of friendship and rec...

1644 rules

Guys, I have a copy of these rules if you need to borrow.

You see them occasionally on Ebay or at the shows. You may also be able to get a set from Dave Ryan at Caliver books.

Back of Beyond

Well here we are mid -January and as usual I'm behind on my painting. With the best will in the world I will be struggling to have a sizeable enough force for the big bash. My little 6' 3" brother Andrew doesn't have any toys , he's just a keen gamer. So here's the rub. Have the rest of you guys got...

Basing / unit organisation

Hi Quindia, as the owner and provider of a significant part of the allied forces and some of their French opponents at our LogW bashes I can tell you how I organise my units. Infantry are on 60mm x 40mm stands , 6 figures to a stand. Unit sizes vary from 4 stands to 6 stands giving battalion sizes o...

Ascending scales

Barry , I read this last night and it was for me the most helpful article I've read for a while. The comments on decals and scale comparisons in general were really useful. I wnet the Corgi route myslef for WWII and Vietnam because they were reasonably priced and well made. The Solido vehicles are g...

The next one

I'm having second thoughts about my forces for the Back of Beyond game. The prospect of raising a strong Cossack force again is tempting especially if I can chase you around the filed again Bob ! That said I've started on my film crew/ British /Indian force. Something about needing to have lancers a...

Victory indeed

It was disappointing indeed to lose the Arkhangelrod regiment to rout and see the guns fall with such ease. Disciplinary action has been taken with General Karnikov who was still marching through the woods when his artillery were first charged. But I would agree with you Colonel Schnapps that from o...
