Re: Blogs?

I recommend wordpress as well. I used a hosted variety which is free aside from the hosting and a custom theme. However, the theme I'm using it just a slightly modified version of the basic theme and it is wonderful. Take a look at the Projects section of my website, that's custom theme work you can...

Re: Victrix Brits for 1812

Last night I tried making a video with my new camera. Let me know what you think. http://tyler.provick.ca/?p=1187 Here's the current state of my figures. Trying something new in the highlight and shades, which I detail in the video and blog. http://tyler.provick.ca/images/workbench/1812_brit_0002.jpg

Re: Victrix Brits for 1812

As promised, some new painting on the 1812 front. This time I used Scarlet for the red and highlighted with Iraqi Sand. It is a stronger highlight than it appears in the photograph, unfortunately. No picture yet, but instead of using a shade wash for the legs I painted the shade in. I've freed mysel...

Re: Victrix Brits for 1812

Going to be painting some more Brits shortly. Had to take a break to finish these guys for the local convention this past weekend.

Almost a year later and I'm still slowly working on these guys. I can't remember why, but I suffered a huge painting slump over the last year.

10mm is the best scale. I'm seriously considering doing R2E in 10mm. The current batch of hard plastic 28mm stuff is fantastic, but cannot compare to 10mm on the table.

What, Barry, promoting your game on your website? Reminds me of the time I went to Motorola's site and they tried to sell me a phone.

Ok, so we should consider the attack order chart to read MUST: charge if in formation to charges (requires additional MPs) or something to that effect?

After this being brought up on the TMP forum I have a further question. Attack orders. A battalion with attack orders who begin the turn within charge range will charge without requiring a single unit action. Right? The chart for Attack orders lists charging as a must, and in the header of the must ...

Flow Chart, from memory, hope I don't duff it. Chargers roll to see if you can charge, 4+ they do. STEADY. Otherwise charge fails, abide by morale result Defenders roll to see if they stand. 3+ they do. STEADY or WAVER. If they Waver it occurs immediately. They can go from Waver to Steady. Defenders...

Thanks for the feedback. I worked very hard on clarifying my statements and working on my language. Primarily I am a writer and it's nice to know that writing three drafts made a difference. The news item just hit The Miniatures Page.
Let's see how it affects traffic.

Actually, the review is still coming. That was merely a quick and vague description of the game.

pg 44. In the italic example for Single Unit actions the unit changes formation, moves forward as part of a brigade action, then changes formation again. It is also stated that they could move again if they paid the additional MP. The beginning of the AAR could also be read both ways, where one batt...

Form orders: I'm missing something

Can a unit which forms do anything else in that turn. The example for Single Unit Activations has this happening. It changes formation, moves, changes formation again and then moves again. However, the Form order says the unit does nothing for that move except form, and then says that units under fo...
