Introductory Reading for WSS

Now just suppose some daft sod has the notion of starting a new period  and the only book that he's read on the era was Blenheim by Charles Spencer (a good read btw) What books would you recommend to my err.. friend  as basic works or overview of the period along with others more specific...

15mm Russians

I decided to tidy up my Russians and add to them after realising that I didn't really like putting them on the table against my more recent and better painted units. They were the second or 3rd Napoleonic army that I decided to paint many years ago and most are poorly painted minifigs. Pathetic excu...

Otherwise, they do look good!

Duchy of Warsaw figures - painting advice please

I have some new 28mm figures on the workbench - these are RTB's Duchy of Warsaw figures that were sculpted by Paul Hicks They are really lovely to paint but I'm not at all certain that I've got the details correct so I've attached a few photos of 4 test figures that I've completed I've been using th...

French Column taking fire

Have done something daft  Despite a large collection in 15mm those pesky Perrys have dangled too many temptations before me and I've started a 28mm French army. I've just completed my first unit  In the end I based the casualty group on a gaming base twice its usual width or 6 figures wid...

Building footprint in 28mm please

I'm looking at making some 28mm buildings from scratch along with some flat pack ones I bought from TSS and some from kits from Warbases UK. I've never really gamed in 28mm so don't have any buildings that I own. What sort of footprint or size would you all recommend for single buildings and secondl...
