Just found a site that states officers wore Blue and Yellow sashes!
Still not sure about rank and file,the same source also mentions blue hat bands with yellow trim.
Can anyone help me with a small problem? Thanks for the advice Will, but i face two problems there.
1. If i have a professionally painted unit on the table , units painted by my own hand will get an inferiority complex and mutiny!
2. I have a joint account!
They really are well painted figures, my only concern is that my best painted units usually roll the worse dice.I hope you have more luck,as to lose them from the table top would be a blow to morale indeed!
Easter gives me the chance to paint the regiment"La Reine" and add to Louis XIV's army..or paint the front room.....I'm informed by the wife that this should be an easy decision! Any thoughts?

Thanks for the info, i shall now attempt to paint a beauty spot that does not resemble a powder burn! Dont know about the rouge though,and definitely no eyeliner!
Would any kind soul please inform if beauty spots where still fashionable in the 1700 to 1710 period.
