Re: Spanish Artillery Uniforms

Chema, after searching a lot, I've found this reference to red and blue spanish artillery uniforms: http://books.google.com.br/books?id=9k2PtLNcEEQC&printsec=frontcover&dq=Osprey+Publishing+-+Buccaneers&hl=pt-BR&sa=X&ei=LalyU-DHOomT8AHuqIHIBA&ved=0CDYQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q=Blue&f=false However, the au...

Re: Austro-Turkish War (1663–64)

I agree with delbruck, take a look on "the assault group" catalog... they have a Croat and Hungarian section for 30 years war and I think they are compatible with the conflict you mention.
Cheers,

Re: Nördlingen 1634

The blue brigade participated in the battle. However they are not the Swedish Blues. They are German mercenary blues. The Swedish yellow brigade participated. The regiments of Bernard of Saxe Weimar were predominantly financed by the French.Information on flags for Bernard is pretty difficult to co...

Re: Nördlingen 1634

Hi Chema, As far as I know at Nördlingen no Electorate Saxon Troops were involved because they fought under von Arnim at the same time against the Imperials in Saxony under Wallenstein. Sorry for being of no help to You. Cheers, Günter Hi Günther, thanks for your answer, I knew Saxony switched side...

Re: A couple of 28mm units for 30 Years War

Wonderful painting. Especially the black hairs and the red are stunning! May i ask what paints did you use for this red? Thank you mate, of course, I used "khorne Red" as a basecoat, later on I washed it with "carroburg crimson" shade paint... Later I highlighted it with Khorne red a little bit dil...

A couple of 28mm units for 30 Years War

Hello Guys! here are a couple of things I have been painting these days: First, a Spanish commander for my 30 years war "Nördlingen 1634" project. It could be my Army commander or one of the "battalia" commanders ( I´m using Pike & Shotte). The miniature itself is from Warlord Games ECW range, the E...

What a fine painting! I'm going to copy your ground work of wood for my siege artillery bases in the future!

Re: Front Rank 28mm Spanish Tercio of Toledo "Old Blues"

What blues did you use for the uniforms? Hello Gunfreak, I used GW Paints for the blues and reds. In particular "regal blue" as a base, and later highlighted with "enchanted blue" and normal white. Sadly these paints are now out of production... so when I run out of them I'll be in a trouble
