Front Rank Spanish Cavalry , "Trozo de Milan" 1690

Hello Gentlemen, this is my very first cavalry Regiment for my League of Augsburg project... i already have loads of painted infantry and artillery for both Spanish and French, but I desperately needed some cavalry. These are Front Rank figures, painted as "Trozo de Milan" in Catalonian Front. I hop...

Hovels 28mm Church

Hello Gentlemen, I have just bought Hovels 28mm Church (not enough budget for the better Grand Manner one) and have a doubt about stained glass windows... As a modeller , i have no problem with the main painting process, but that "blank" space in the windows presents a challenge for me... What would...

Oh Thank you very much! Now i'm painting a front rank regiment of Spanish Horse "Trozo de Milan" but when finished , i'll paint more "converged grenadiers" , this time from Dixon miniatures and in French service ;)

Nice paintjob! And good miniatures too, I find musketeer miniatures late romans the best out there!

Grand Alliance "converged grenadiers"

Hi there , My Spanish armies need allies in order to slow down those French... So these chaps are my small unit of ad hoc grenadiers for sieges and all that stuff (i know its not 100% historical accurate). I wanted to represent a generic grand alliance grenadiers , so i put together some examples of...

Re: Miquelets, or Mountain Fusiliers in BLB?

Hello, and sorry for "resurrecting" the post, don't know if i should open a new thread... I would like to know how Nine Years War "Miquelets" looked like ? I have seen pics of reenactors in Spain, but they are WSS Miquelets, and i don't know if the earlier Miquelets were less uniformed and looked mo...

I second that... Spanish troops are bit forgotten in Nine Years War despite of several thousands of them fought in all fronts. (minus Ireland).

Re: Grand Alliance converged grenadiers

Hello, I absolutely agree with barry, regarding that we certainly can not know every historical detail and after all this is a game (though historical, of course ). I think i was misunterstood in my initial post... I meant creating ad hoc units of grenadiers, not permanent battalions as the danes ha...

Thank you very much! My opponent will be my father, so he will understand ;)
I have finished half the unit, it was a shame not to field in the tabletop such a colorful "regiment".
Cheers !

Re: Tangiers buildings??

Hello Ray , I do not know exactly how the builings were, but you can see and study the architecture of Ceuta and Melilla, two Spanish cities that are close to Tangiers and have some points in common with Tangiers: - Both were taken by Portuguese or Spanish at the end of middle ages -Churches and Cat...
