Proxy war

Just wanted to know what peoples opinions are on using "Proxy units" for example I have a large Russian Cossack force I use for Napoleonic gaming and for the seven years war, its cheaper, there's not much difference in style of outfit and nobody in our club minds. I've seen WW1 British infantry used...

Russian uniform

I've been working on some Russians and following the Koronskaf site which is very detailed indeed, I also have a few Osprey books on the army which contradict the Koronskaf site.......how can they be so different....I usually go with Koronskaf though.Image

Have to agree, good documentary. I knew a lot of the Swedish army were recruited from mainland Europe, but 90%!!!! Even the Blue and Yellow Regts!
The chilling part was the amount of head shots.

Good point ,well made , and Star Wars has a distinct lack of lavatorial scenes. If a Death Star rocked up next to my planet, id naturally want to grip some Armitage Shanks!

Sorry for the delay in replying, I would like to point out that recent evidence (floods,landslides, guided busways) would lead to the conclusion that God is busy elsewhere this. However there is a blue plaque in Leigh Lancs ,that confirms he's birth in a mid terrace off Railway road............not Y...
