1st Bn 11th Jäger Regiment ~ 1812

Dour conditions for photos yesterday, with impending darkness, rain, and poor focus on my part. However, I beg leave to present the next installment of my 7th Infantry Division project for 1812: the 1st Bn 11th Jäger Regiment. Same old figures, paints, and basing, as usual; only the yellow shoulder ...

Jim, over on the Warlord Black Powder Forum, there is an entire thread devoted to your situation, which seems to have brought out most of the salient issues: http://www.warlordgames.co.uk/?page_id= ... re/#p19197.

Gidday, Scruff, and welcome to the Forum, where a growing number of Kiwis seem to be appearing! (Valleyboy, von Peter, Captain Chook, etc.) I was fortunate to live and work in NZ myself for three years in the early 1990's, and have been collecting/researching Russians for several years as well. I've...

Jon - Gunter is completely correct; the 'break' date in terms of regimental reorganisation comes on 12 October 1810. Prior to that date, all Musketeer Regiments were composed of 1 x Grenadier + 2 x Musketeer battalions (each battalion being 4 companies of the same 'type' of infantry). After the brea...

It's a target I'm working towards, Barry, but negotiations are still in the early stages. Not that you'd need another 5 battalions of Russian infantry, or a battery of 12-pdrs . . .

Cheers, Dave--yes, flags are by Grahame at GMB. I mucked them up with a couple of creases, as all can see, by trying to 'fold' them a bit more aggressively than usual . . . I've only finished 5 of 12 planned battalions thus far, so long way to go for me yet. I'm holding back on doing the acco...

1st Bn Pskov Infantry Regiment ~ 1812

The saga of my project for the Russian 7th Division, VI Corps at Borodino rolls on, at the usual glacial pace. Today it's the 1st Bn. Pskov Infantry Regiment, the senior formation in the division. The usual figures (Alan Perry sculpted for Foundry), with only slight variations in the basing material...

Q1. Were the Guard Light Cavalry...Lancers or Hussars??? A1. A 'composite' Regiment comprising: two squadrons of dragoons, one squadron of hussars, and one squadron of Guard Kosaken (added Feb. 1813). [In 1815 they were split up and bulked out into separate regiments by 'type'--Guard Hussars, Guard ...
