Re: Starting a new project--Waterloo Prussians

  :D No thanks required Ed. Just plenty of photos and keep us up to date with your progress please. My Prussians are probably feeling a little unloved at the moment. Russians, Saxons, Bavarians and probably even the Austrians have all been updated since the last Prussian addition. Oh, h...

Re: Calpe French - the first 3 packs

I believe that the is a fair bit bit of goodness 'in the works'. This is good because I know I'm champing at the bit for more! :o The best way to keep up to date is to keep an eye on Martin Kelly's Befreiungskriege 1813-14 blog at http://befreiungskriege.wordpress.com. Martin maintains the Calpe web...

Re: Calpe French - the first 3 packs

Peter, These guys look fantastic, certainly the best late period sculpts on the market. Do you know if they are available to purchase yet? Bob Hi Bob The first three packs are available to purchase - that's how I got mine! :D They are not on the Calpe website yet though, so you'd need to make direc...

Calpe French - the first 3 packs

A couple of days ago I received the first three packs Calpe Miniatures 1813 French. I was so impressed (but then I am a self confessed Calpe zealot! ) that I was moved to create a small photo review of them. You can see it at: http://web.mac.com/nataliendpeter/Site/DP8_Calpe_French_line_infantry_F1_...

Re: Rebasing Highlander question

... main rule is always PROTECT THE BAYONETS! I couldn't agree more. If I have a wargaming mantra, OK one of my wargaming mantras  , is 'no overhangs of figures over bases' . It's all about safe wargaming ... for the figures anyway! Of course I've yet to model a pike army!! Salu...

More class cavalry ... at least in the looks department. How well they fight on the tabletop will be interesting!

Re: Tumbleweed blows through Kelham

It normally has a disproportionate smattering of the 'Glitterati' either demo-ing or at least ligging but this year that was not evident. Well some of the 'Glitterati' missing were the Perry twins who would've been there except they were in Wellington, NZ at the time. FWIW I attended Partizan...

Re: Major overhaul to LoA website

The site does indeed look good. In the spirit of constructive feedback ... one feature I will miss is the Latest updates section in the right hand margin of the old Home page. It used to alert me to new pictures etc that had been posted to the site. I am unlikely to stumble across them as I do not t...

A nice unit Burkhard.

A shame about the Warlord landwehr but not a surprise as I think that these are a missed opportunity as we have discussed elsewhere before. Luckily there's still the Calpe versions.
