Victrix 1804-07 Russians

Clearly Russian uniforms and regimental distinctions are a complex subject. Can anyone point me to a source for information to paint up the new Victrix metal figures for the Eylau/Friedland campaign? I see Victrix do some lovely flags so I may need to focus on the regiments for which colours are ava...

Gentlemen,
Many thanks - crystal clear.
"Greystreak" I sent you a message via the General de Brigade Forum so if you get a moment to look at that I'd be most grateful. Inspirational pictures as ever.
Regards

Russian uniforms

Yes that is most helpful - hopefully the castings will be close in size to the Foundry napoleonic Russians - which to my mind were by far the bst of the Perry offerings under the Foundry banner. Any thoughts on organisation of a typical Musketeer battalion. I see Greystreak has a company (?) of Gren...

Austerlitz Russians

Beautiful sculpts by Mr Hicks (Victrix) for the earlier period Austerlitz, Friedland et al. Not sure about the organisation of Russian battalions in this period or how long these uniforms lasted. Were these old-style shako's still around in 1812? Greystreak maybe you can advise. I'm thinking that ma...

Robert Hall Uniform Plates for sale.

Moving into another period so these are now surplus.
Barry kindly agreed for me to post this here.
Some twenty two plates in all from Blenheim and Ramillies
£25 including recorded postage.
British, French, Prussian and Danish and Dutch units.
Hope someone is interested.

Beautiful and Front Rank must be very happy! Can you explain a little about the basing? What size are the bases for three-rank and two-rank units? Obviously the three-rank units have more figures - is this just for show or does it have any baring on the operation of the rules. I assume you are using...

BRGADES in RtoE at 1:20

Barry, Have read the chapter on scales with interest and want to ask about the combining of weak battalions into larger units. Not sure what to do with multi-battalion regiments eg the French at Quatre Bras: What would you do for the 1st brigade of the 5th Division which was made up of four battalon...

Is this (and the associated) range of figures still available?
Are there any new releases beyond what is still up on the Graven Image web-site?

PERRY NAPOLEONICS FOR SALE

Abandoning a Napoleonic project to focus on the 1700's. I asked Barry's permission if I could post a "for sale" notice here and he kindly said yes. I have over 260 Perry castings (unpainted) organised as two Nassau battalions (firing line and advancing, each of 36); three French Line battalions (eac...

DUTCH GRENADIERS

Working on organising three Dutch wargame units including the Blue Guard. Following on from my earlier question should these have red or orange cuffs circa 1706? I'm also wondering about head-gear for the grenadiers. I'm using the fine Front Rank figures who do a nice Dutch Grenadier in a low mitre ...

Dutch Artillery

I want to get some light guns to intersperse with the units of an infantry brigade. Can anyone suggest uniform and gun carriage colours for the Dutch? Was much of the artillery in Marlboro's army Dutch or was it mainly British? When did the British Artillery go into blue coats faced red? Sorry quest...

DUTCH BLUE GUARDS

I am seeking a clearer idea of the uniform and colours of the Dutch Blue Guards for the Ramillies era eg type of grenadier cap, basic uniform details and standards. I would also welcome a brief explanation of the difference between various Dutch Guards units. Are the blue guards the same as the Gard...
