I shall pretend to be offended  The wife suggested
"Comte d'anspantaloons "
My best effort was "General d'ogsbody"

P.S. I thought you had a beard :?:

Churchill wrote Did you also know that his father is the only person who has succeeded in stealing the crown jewels. Blood has a local connection, he married in Culcheth church and had the wedding party at The Raven just down the road! The pub is still up and running and so is the church. I dont know...

Gentlemen, thanks for your help. Game was a success and both lads want another bout soon. Even drew in a few spectators from the bar! The game was a draw ,even after both sides insisted they carry on to a conclusion. So with a couple more intrested,do i do another game along the same lines? Maybe ! ...

Barry, Fully agree BLB is easy to use, however i'm approaching it from years of gaming and experience of other rule sets,i cant see it from their point of view! so i'm not sure what i would take for granted wont be confusing to them. :? As for the game i thought no rivers or hills, maybe a small farm ...

BLB FOR BEGINNERS

Hey folks, I'm planning a demo game for a couple of the lads who are intrested,i thought BLB would be ideal, but as this is a first game and they are new to wargaming. Maybe a watered down version? :?: And then the question........how to water down. Its not that the boys are slow to learn, more that i...

Varnish

Varnish?
I dont think i've ever used Matt Varnish on my figures(mostly cos i want to repaint later) However i've reached a reasonable standard and want to save some figures from the threat of chipping.
Who does the best Matt Varnish, and how to apply?
Any thoughts :)

Ta.

Churchill, old boy, I meant that Marlborough fought for James II at Sedgemoor and then against him and his newly aquired French mates when old James fell out of favour. I confess i'm no historian but doesn't that make him at best someone who knows when to "jump ship" and i realise he wasnt the only ...

Mr Churchill, Just as you say old James the S**thead, was no Marllborough, but Marlborough was clever to jump ship when the going was rough! To my mind Churchills skill on the battlefield was as nothing to his diplomacy and political knowledge. So if James had won at the Boyne or later and regained th...

Churchill, "Irish and French scum" :!: Well i get your point with the French, but the Irish! Maybe a little confused, sometimes backing the wrong side and never ones to turn down a drink ; maybe....but when on home soil and well led , my money is with the boys. And a little later in history ,where wou...
