DBMM Abbreviations?

Hey guys,

I'm looking for some help on the troop abbreviations for (what I think is) Medieval High Period troops in DBMM.

I'm collecting together a Wars of the Roses Army and a friend gave me a photocopy of a section of the Army List (but not the intro). We're not actually using DBMM ruleset, just the army list for setting up our own in-house game. The friend I got them from is currently away.

I'm slightly confused and lost, having never used DBMM before.

I've gathered that EHC is Extra Heavy Cavalry, MI (Medium Infantry?), HI (Heavy Infantry?) but stuff like HCC, HCM, MC, D, E, C? I've no idea.

If anyone could point me to an online page that translates these I'd be most grateful. I've been searching all morning and am about to pull my own teeth out in frustration.

From my memory of playing WRG (6th mainly) games the below are several abbreviations used in all variations of DBX rule sets...

HCC Heavy Cavalry Cuirass, HCM Heavy Cavalry Mail, MC Medium Cavalry etc

Cv is cavalry, Ax is Auxillary

(O) ordinary (I) inferior (S) superior (F) fast (X) exceptional

C, D and E are morale grades I believe and should also have A and B

You also have open order and close order troops

L lance, Pi pistol etc

This is the best site I've found for DBA http://fanaticus.org/DBA/index.html

hope that helps
