Just back via Flodden with TogMeister - great weekend but somewhat underwhelmed by the show.
It was said by many to be turning into a Sci-Fi event. Historical games probably at an all time low.
Saw lots and lots and lots of the gang.. that was nice

Most of the photos I've seen seem to be of fantasy/sci if games but the historical ones did look good.
Did you enjoy Flodden? They have made a great job of signposting the battlefield.
Cheers

Dave
Neither Barry or myself got much of a look round, but the show certainly seems to have become sci-fi/fantasy dominated (probably due to companies paying the Warlords huge sums for trade stands).
There were some nice historical games, particularly the 7YW game from Bill Gaskin & a 40mm Napoleonic game.
Flodden was fantastic, my first visit, you could really picture the battle & how events unfolded on the day & yes there are several picture boards indicating what happened at the part of the battlefield. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

Salute lived up to expectations I thought this year, although not finding Barry has to be my low point for the year I think.
I agree with the comments of the games, Bill Gaskin's 1762 and Ian Smiths 40mm Napoleonic games were my highlight along with a great Russo-Finish game on what I think is my favorite snow terrain.
There seams to be a increase in small games run as promo's to company's latest releases this year.

Wonderful pix Ray you did a grand job. I hope they paid you some bloody money for that.
By the way, you managed to make me look like a combination of Ronnie Corbett and an East End market trader!
I tried to comment on your blog but it kept making me join facebook, something I refuse to do.
