We are still working on it. The main roadblock over the last 2 months was my being out of the UK. I could not therefore take the necessary extra photos. I plan to do that over the next 2-3 weeks as I am home for a while. New chapters and battle reports have been written and the main example game has been played and written up. I know it probably sounds like the same old story but it is just juggling priorities.. Warfare is very time hungry unfortunately... but it is coming!

Actually it's written section isn't finished yet as I got distracted by painting some Warefare Miniature figures. So I suppose I had better get a move on.

Hi Barry

I realise that the Warfare Miniatures range has really taken off and this has

obviously taken up a huge amount of your spare time but would it be possible

to give me an update on how the Crimean supplement is progressing and if

you have an idea of when we might see it.

Many thanks

Steve,

I m sure Barry comes up with something as soon he has bushwhacked himself through the immense amount of work he heaps on his shoulders to bring all of his (and our) ideas to paper.

So please be patient :)

Best Wishes,
Günter

Can you give me an idea on proposed basing for both Crimean and ACW supplements?
Thanks in advance.

John, both sets will be very flexible and are designed to allow people to use their existing collections. The default for these rules are a scale of 1:20, but they will work at 1:30 or 1:40 (the later may require modification of movement and firing ranges, but this is covered in the books).

1:20 may produce units larger than some gamers are comfortable with for some battles, particularly early in the conflicts. At 1:40, full strength battalions for the Crimean would be around 24 models, but many of the smaller infantry units would only be around 10-12 models which would be quite brittle in the game. There are guidelines for brigading these understrength formations to form 20-40 model units.

Actual basing is left up to the player, but the guidelines in R2E still hold. Units may be based in any manner you like, but multi-model stands of four, six, or even eight models are recommended.

Barry may have more to add... :D

I have been watching this page and TMP for any news on the Four Empires supplement. Is this still a viable work in progress or is it officially dead?

This is still a live project and a large amount of work has gone into it, Clarence just distracted us with Donnybrook

It's finished rules wise. Book wise about 60% just got gazumped by Donnybrook. We'll knock it out pretty quickly I think. Donnybrook is just about ready to go to the printer.
