thats the one Dave. They fire the 100 ton Armstrong each year. you bid to fire it.Firing the 8" howitzer cost 5 Euros. Well worth it. The fort has a collection of firearms as used by the British army from a matchlock to a Lee enfield. Again for a small donation you can fire any/all of them.
The Armstrong was never fired in anger but for a gun of its size has a surprising rate of fire (1 shot every 3 minutes!)
Good place to visit but then again so is the rest of Malta. Avoid the evening knights "spectacular" though. I'm pretty sure that there was more fighting and less dancing when the turks attacked!
