Is there a description of your painting technique up anywhere Alpha? I think you've written the occassional bit on how you paint but I don't think it's on any site that's still live.

Hi David,

May I say these look excellent and I like their weathered look.
They really look the business after their long march up that ridge at Waterloo, but I'm sure our "Gordons" will be ready for them and it wont just be "those amazons" that Wellington will have waiting for you.

Coyote: It's layer painting from black undercoat upwards.

The Blue is...
1) GW Regal Blue
2) Then washed back with a mix of 50/50 mix of Regal Blue and Badab Black (applied more as a glaze).
3) I the highlighted with Regal Blue.
4) Then Regal Blue with a touch of white added for a top highlight

The mud is Burnt Umber stippled on with an old brush. Then Beige Brown stippled on just at the edges.

Hi Ray,
I'll be commanding a French Brigade at the weekender game... but from a few years before the Battle of Waterloo! I'll be playing in the SYW game taking place the other room at the Hotel! I'll be in to the Waterloo game to make sure who ever is commanding my Old Guard and French are Victorious!

Alpha, a few more questions if you don't mind.

How many coats of each layer? Are you applying a fully opaque coat or somewhat translucent?

Also, out of curiousity, how many miniatures do you work on at one time?
