Småland Cavalry regiment is finally done.

OK, so after two years I've finally given in to having a section of the FORUM specifically set up to discuss painting techniques, display examples, show your latest projects and chat about this vital part of the hobby. Manufacturers please feel free to post up your sculpts, ask questions about what the gamers are after and generally promote your work.. no charge! Painters, please also feel free to post up your work for comment and critique. I can't promise the unreserved adulation characteristic of some other fora but I would hope you'd get constructive and measured comment!

Småland Cavalry regiment is finally done.

Post by Gunfreak » Fri Jan 27, 2017 9:33 am

And It's done, I started on this regiment in in November 2015, Painted the first 18 then, then another 18 in March 2016 and Now finally the last 12 have been painted. And so I present you the Småland Cavalry regiment all 48 of it.
I'm now only 6 more cav(will be Drabants) and 3 command away from reaching my halfway goal for my Swedish force.

The size of the regiment happened by mistake, I based it on Poltova and it had 8 squadrons at Poltova, but forgot that in Beneath the Lilly banners 1 squadron equals 2 real ones.

So this regiment ended up being 16 real squadrons, not 8... But the size is impressive!

Oh Crap! That is a real impressive horde of Swedes!

Why did you raise it in the first place that strong? Different Rule Set?
Different scale like 1:20?

Cheers,
Günter

No I didn't have my BLB rulebook handy when I started the project, when I discovered the mistake I thought I'd soldier on simply to see what it would look like.

Wow, that's what you call a cavalry regiment, it looks superb and puts my plans to change my Swedish cavalry from 12 to 24 figures.

great job
