French ordnance

I just play BLB now for about one and a half year and its great fun! But I just had a question on types of ordnance in the French WSS army, as they obviously had no attached battalion guns. But did the French also have light guns on the battlefield? So smaller type of guns than typed in the rules as 'field' guns?
