Partizan 2/6/13 - Thanks!

Post by Yimpkin » Sun Jun 02, 2013 10:23 pm

The thought of a ULB demo game at Partizan today was one of the reasons for my visit. The game was excellent and a superb spectacle. The guys running the game were great ambassadors for LoA and very enthusiastic.

Thanks for taking the trouble and thanks also for bringing the figures to the show circuit.

Gary.

Thanks for that Gary, always nice to get feedback from the guys who go to the shows.

The table did look good, but it was the work of several members of the "team", so the credit must definitely be shared around.

We had a very busy day running the game, due to the amount of people wanting to know about the period, figures, flags, rules, terrain & painting, it certainly kept us busy.

Glad you enjoyed it, hope to see you at Partizan in September.

I think the display was the first time we have put on a display that was purely Warfare Miniatures figures and between all our collections, Ade's terrain and walls and Clarence's flags it looked very impressive, even if we say so ourselves and a special thanks should go to Steve Shann for bringing along his great collection of cavalry, especially his fantastic Dutch Garde du Paard unit.
Cheers

Some lovely shots as always Barry, there were so many goodies to look at on the day that I hadn't noticed that Steve had supplied two Bavarian cuirassier regiments so thanks for taking that pic.

Some terrific shots there Barry, the spectacle of massed cavalry looks superb.
A great moment for you to see the table manned solely by Warfare recruits.

Just a quick post to thank Barry and the guys for a thoroughly enjoyable day. The company and the game were both first rate and I had a great time - haven't talked so much in years!! Thanks also for the kind comments on my cavalry units; the figures are a joy to paint, combining both detail and animation. Hope we get to play again.
