@ Wayne, Raymond
I'm in Tauranga where it seems the postman sucks

In time if anyone fancies a really big game I can muster around 9,000 15mm Napoleonics  (it sort of got out of hand)

Hi Barry,

The reason for this is that they clinging to the old Ruleset of Newburry Napoleonic Rules with which I played when I started Wargaming about 20 Years ago. Anytime I tried to introduce a new ruleset as a kind of advancement I heard the same sentence "sure we have our troubles with this rules but now that we are so far we want to proceed".
Many of them didnt even look at the rules.
But now with RtE I sense an opportunity to get them out of the "woods":)
The rulebook looks great, the entirely colored book catches the eye, the rules are, as far as I can tell, easy to understand even for us (Austrians)
History tells us, Austria was in all cases slow to adopt changes. That nature still exists in far to many people this days, in real life or at the gaming table :(
As I am not entirely Austrian, my father was born in Dresden, I carry saxon blood in my veins. So maybe because of my ancestors I more easily be able to adopt changes :)

The pain in the neck for my fellow colleagues starts (again) therefore on the 2nd weekend in december 2009, when we recreate the battle arround Znaim 1809 which will complete our "Re-fighting" Year 1809.
We are playing in a room above a museum for tin-miniatures

http://www.zinnfigurenwelt-katzelsdorf.at/zinn-main.php

There we, about 20 friends, met frequently to play all kind of napoleonic battles. I estimate that we are able to field about 4000 25-28mm miniatures so far.
As soon as I realize how to place a picture in here I will do so :?:

Now I brace myself for the upcoming struggle for the change to the better , the ultimate napoleonic rules :D

Cheers

I'd be keen for a road trip to Tauranga at some point.

Barry,

Would it be possible to have the rooster sheet as a pdf.file, ie. as a download, to prevent the rulebook from damage? It would look better to have it in colour then in b/w.

I second the motion if it is at all possible(?).

Cheers,

Darrell.

Hello Chaps... yes indeed!

Dave O'Brien already emailed me to mention it was a good idea. I will of course upload that as a pdf in a new section of the Warchest into which I intend to add some extra FREE stuff related to the rules.

Should be done very soon :D

I got my books today!

Yes I know, I've had the rules for months and I got to look at the proofs, but having the book in hand after all the work we put in is really cool!

Hi
As a new member, I would just like to add my appreciation of the fantastic job done by both Barry and Clarence in producing R2E. An outstanding piece of work. If they play half as well as they look it will be a treat!!

I think it turned out really well! I think it's the nicest of the new Napoleonic books, but I'm sure I am biased!

Thanks to everyone who bought the book and for all the kind words so far.
