Barry,

When I returned from work yesterday (Friday), it was waiting for me. Considering that you only posted it on Thursday, it seems that I was wrong and my postman's parents were married after all.

On opening the envelope, the first thing I noticed was the new book smell. If you get your nose right into it with the ends of the pages on a par with your ears, this can provide a very enjoyable couple of minutes. Any more than that counts as abuse.

The production is excellent, so please let me add my congratulations to Clarence and your good self. I spent a pleasant three hours reading last night and, now that the quick-play sheet is out of the way, I intend to start on the main volume today.

The markers are also excellent and larger and thicker than I originally thought. This will probably mean that, although I purchased what were probably the last of the "old" BtLB sets, I will no doubt get sets of the new ones.

Great stuff, Gentlemen.

Regards,

Jim

Look's like Austria is as far away as Canada!
So far I didnt get my copy of the much anticipated RtE. As Coyote mentioned all that remains is to enjoy it waiting for its delivery :)

All others who have received their copy I wish happy hours of reading.
Be assured I will have it too :D as soon as our lacy postal service find its way to me...

Cheers from Austria

I'm really hoping it will arrive tonight. If not I'll have to wait longer.

I have to say, with R2E and Black Powder allowing people with different collection to play each other it seems like to not allow that is a fatal flaw in a rule system.

Well you know, it will be interesting (and a little frustrating) to see how long these things take. the official line to the US/Canada is 4-5 days and the Antipodean locations 7? The books went 8 days ago.... please keep me posted

Just joking Barry my post wasn't meant as a criticism- its my standard response on another forum when all the up and overers start talking about the latest battlegames magazine - I usually have to wait quite a bit longer and by the time it arrives I feel I've read it already because they talk about it so much.
I also have a rural address and that usually adds at least another day

So if you'll forgive me i'll sing it again ;-

Our complimentary copy (because of our advert) arrived at Eureka Miniatures in Melbourne yesterday, in advance of our stock (Yes - we'll be official Republic to Empire sellers - for those Down Under who haven't ordered their copies direct from the UK yet).

I finally got to have a good look this lunchtime - and it looks absolutely superb gentlemen. A hearty "Huzzah!" to Barry and Clarence, and everyone else involved. Well done! Time for some serious - full immersion - rules reading, me thinks.

And I'm slightly shocked (and hugely flattered :D ) to see I got a credit on the title page...

Oh - and I've already pre-sold three copies this week, sight unseen, to local customers based on the reputation of Under the Lily banners alone.
Heaven knows what we'll shift now we can actually show customers a copy!

Hmm, I knew that my lack of attention in geography would bite me some day. I'd always thought that Canada was closer to the UK than New Zeeland (which is much better than Old Zeeland).

Maybe tonight

Received my copy yesterday and the first impression is: Very Very nice! All I have to do know is paint up some figures so I can use them.

Well done guys!

Ray
