WATERLOO WEEKENDER PDF GUIDE UPLOADED

I have upload the first part of the Weekender Guide for people interested in:

1. How to play a game with Republic to Empire
2. How I organize scenario based games
3. Useful info on how to transfer a battle onto the tabletop

You may see now why it has taken me a little while to get this going!

Next part will include

1. Orders of battle for both sides
2. Game description with photos, maps and diagrams
3. Useful hints and tips about the rules.

Each pdf will be about 1 Mb for ease of downloading and so I don;t crash the server.

Let me know if this is useful stuff or whether I have just gone TOO far this time :shock:

Barry,

I can only say that the time taken was well worth the effort. This is a fantastic aid for setting up any Napoleonic game.

I can almost smell a book in it. :wink:

Barry,

Wow what a excellent 1st R2E Weekender review that is and obviously the making of the 1st Republic to Empire Scenario book :wink:
Very well laid out and with the aid of the maps and photo's self explanatory.
Looking forward to Part Two of the Waterloo PDF and might the next R2E Weekender involve the Centre/Right Flank of the Allied Line so that you could complete this battle.(Oh I can hear the sound of hacksaw's on Hovel's Hougoumont model already) :lol:
Going back to the idea of a Scenario book make this the 100 days campaign and for the weekenders refight the battles of Quatre Bras, Ligny, Wavre and the Prussian 4th Corp's arrival and attack on Plancenoit.
Just my idea's??? Will talk more with you at Cannonade.

Hi Barry,

Absolutely fantastic way of both illustrating the game we played and the mechanics of R2E.
As has been previously mentioned taken a bit of time to put together but definitely worth the effort, and I expect that there's a lot more to come.
Looking forward to the rest of your hard work.

Gents,

thanks for the feedback so far.. I am encouraged to finish Part 2.. probably tonight.. it deals with the orbats and reinforcements with notes on putting together units etc.

Marechal Ney, many thanks for that excellent staff work :wink: I have corrected the error that everyone else was too polite to mention and uploaded a corrected version in the WARCHEST!!! :lol:

Ahhh...funny you should mention that Ray, I've had the same thought. I've decided to collect the forces for Plancenoit, in fact, I've already started!
