For anyone interested in commanding a brigade or two on the field of Waterloo come along to the League of Augsburg table on Saturday 8th May at CARRONADE, Falkirk.

We'll be using an even larger table than that used at SALUTE.. 12 x 6 Feet

This time the FRENCH cavalry will be the focus of the game and we'll run a simulation of the afternoon attacks against the crossroads using about 300 French cavalry models together with the thick end of an infantry Corps.

Hope to see you there :D

Barry,

You have said "Anybody", well thats enough for me  I'll be there and I'm sure Bob (Toggy) said he was coming, unfortunatly Jim (Coffindodger) can't make it.
Hope to meet Chris, Peter, Paul, David Imerie and your right hand man Mr.O'Brien there again.
Of course you will also want to actract the attention of potential R2E rule buyer's so I'd be willing to drop out of the game to let these people play and get a feel for the rules themselves as I've said, the best way to learn is to play in a game.
Will be bringing the Light Dragoon brigade with me for your photo shoot.

See you there,

Ray.

Good Ray! I will leave the table for you and Bob to run while I take in the show!

Dave O'Brien will be there but helping at another table. Peter McCarroll will be with me as will Paul. As yet, we are unsure if DI will make it but I'm sure he'll be there if poss.

Won't have time to command a brigade as I'm booked into the Flee Market for two hours, but I will be there catching up with folk and running myself ragged with my camera. Nothing has changed really :) :) .

Looking forward to the journey North :) .

Darrell.

D.I. doesn't think he can make the show due to family commitments but I can get away from Gerry's game to help you as they will also have Colin, Bill and Hugh to help Gerry.

Cheers

It was good to see all the guys from the Lundin Links turning up at the show only Jim was missing. It was also great to see how well the scenario turned out and the rules giving historical results. Hopefully we'll see you at the next get together Jim.

Cheers
Dave

Nice to see it all laid out very early in the day, unfortunately I was on the way to Skye so I couldn't hang around to see how it all went.

It went very well/badly depending which side you were on but the important point was that it turned out historically.
cheers

How did your R2E game at Carronade turn out? I've seen a few piccies on the internet at various sites and it looked great. I bought the rules several weeks ago and must say that I am blown away at the high production values, the rules explanations and even details such as the photo credits in the back of the book.

I am looking forward to giving the rules a test drive soon.

Welcome Old Fritzy!

The game went very well. We used the Waterloo terrain but this time ran the period between 1500 and 1630 hours with the full cavalry charges against the squares.. the result was... as per history!

Where did you see the pictures from CARRONADE?

I have loaded up the first of my own pics...

There was a link on TMP to someone's flikr or photobucket album with lots of pictures.

BTW, I liked your Napoleonic artillery park idea so much that I borrowed it for my SYW army. What you have done with artillery has to be one of the most creative things that I have ever scene in wargaming.
