The Next R2E Weekender???

Post by Churchill » Sun May 16, 2010 8:56 pm

Hi Guys,

Jim I can't wait too see the new aggressive you??? Will that be you growling and gritting your teeth as you throw that dice down that TOWER.
Just one thing though, I'll have another cavalry brigade and a RHA battery for the next R2E Weekender. Tally Ho!!!

Barry I hope you can get the weekend of the 16th & 17th as (a) I won't have to use holidays off work as I'm off from the Thursday to the following Thursday. (b) Jim Wallace would be able to make it before flying off to the U.S.A.

As for 21st & 22nd August, well it's my birthday on the 21st and I would have to sweet talk the mrs , but where there's a will there's a way.

Ray.

Looks like it'll be 16th/17th folks. I will try and confirm that with the hotel tomorrow.
If anyone wants to book on then let me know asap.

I think the hotel deal will be the same as last time and the cost of the weekender will be the same to +£10.

Cheers

B

I'm more interested in the august dates as school hasn't started then. Don't know yet about the october dates as I haven't seen my schedule yet.

Barry,

You can count mine as a confirmed booking. I still have to organise cover for taking the Friday off, so confirmation of the dates would help.

A few questions though:

1. Shall I book direct with the hotel again?

2. Will Dave O'Brien still be favouring me with his "events"?

3. Will my wee dice tower stop chucking out "ones"?

Looking forward to the weekend,

Jim

Quick update..

we have 8 confirmed so far for the weekend with several tbc's. The scenario/s will depend on final numbers but will certainly be based in the 1814-15 period.

Remember folks, hotel bookings should be made directly with Arlynne Gold at the Lundin Links hotel

Barry,

If there are no objections from any of the other players and since I have painted up two sets of French markers now, I would really appreciate being allocated a FRENCH command again if that is at all possible.

Regards,

Jim
A Convicted Francophile

NB: Have already booked and paid for my room.

9 confirmed now and if anyone wants to express a Command preferecne let me know asap. As the scenario is not yet decided the choice is:

1. French

2. Enemies of the French! (non specific as it could be Brits, Dutch-Belgians, Prussians or even Russians!)

Jim and Matthew have both got first dibs on French commands...

Hi Chaps,

Well it's got to be British for me and Barry if you wish I can provide 2 Light Cavalry Brigades and a RHA Battery for this.

Tally Ho......Ray.

P.S. Will see some of you at Claymore in August
