Barry,

You reckoned that you had about twenty people. You realise that at RtE scale that's an under strength battalion.

Barry,

OK then, if you do a second edition of RtE for Star Wars fans would it be called R2E2?

OK Folks,

finally I have some information on the shape of the scenario for our big weekender coming up:

Battle date: 15th June 1815
Location: North of the Sambre River.
We will use two seperate tables. On the first elements of Wellington's Army with engage with elements of I & II Corps of the Armee du Nord (D'Erlon & Reille). On the second table elements of Ziethen's Prussian I Corps will engage with elements of III & IV Corps(Vandamme & Gerard) of the Armee du Nord.

Objectives... you'll just have to wait and see!

Sides have already been chosen:Bob, Jim, Matthew, Robbie, Alan, Hugh & Bill are French.
Ray, Paul, Peter, Neil, Tom and Mr Reidy (sorry I missed your first name on the booking! ) are the Allies/ Prussians.
Dave, David, Ade and myself will play but in subordinate roles. We are just waiting on one or two final confirmations to see if the numbers go up.

Some of you will be commanding your own figures by request (Ray!) For everyone else all you need are you dice, a tape measure and the rules.

More info nearer the time but really looking forward to it.. Any questions just shout!

Hi Barry,

Interesting post, so not the Waterloo scenario I and I'm sure some others were expecting with the addition of Bulow's IV Prussian corp's.
I suppose that would be too easy and some thinking and planning needed now.
I wonder what the table terrain and what the objectives will be?
Will it be a encounter game or still a allied defence, french attack.
Has anyone on our side got a preference for the Prussian's???

Regards........Ray.

Thanks Chap's

I'm just glad I'm not up against your Russian batteries Dave, I wouldn't fancy a refight of the charge of the light brigade.
Six regiments of British Light cavalry charge in and only one figure trots out.

Ray.

Barry,
Cant make the Saturday, is there any chance of getting stuck in as reinforcements for the allied sector on Sunday morning? I could even provide several battalions of Dutch/Belgians/Nassau/Brunswick if required.
