Hi Dab,
What informations you are looking for?
Saxon Infantry was 800 men per Batallion/36 to 40 figures
Saxon Cavalry was 760 men per Regiment/32 figures
Saxon Artillery..well 108 guns in 16 Foot and 2 Horse Batteries, plus 32 regimental guns.
Within the rules Barry mentions the Guard/Elite status of the Saxon Heavy Cavalry on page 15 and a picture shows one of the Chevauleger Regiments on page 12.
My opinion:
Use the Infantry and Artillery as Drilled at best because of their lack of shooting with live ammo (only 2 manouvres each year). Drilled/Elite for the Line Grenadiers and Grenadier Guard.
Btw., don't listen to anyone who tells you to downgrade the Saxons further. Such fellows only see the Saxons at Wagram and therefore decide that they are the most useless Army in the Napoleonic wars. But they often forget what blunderings their own troops performed against Napoleon(all of them) and tend to grade,i.e., the Brits in Spain as if at Waterloo.
Hope that helps in some ways
Günter
