COLUMN OF ATTACK RULES QUESTION

Post by DNELS17 » Sat Jun 04, 2011 7:35 pm

Just wondering if there is a size restriction for 2 units combining into a column of attack?
Could you combine 2 40 figure battalions of Austrians into a 80 figure column of attack?

1st paragraph, 2nd column, page 13.

'No 2 battalions of more than 24 models can be combined to form a larger regimental sized infantry unit.'

Thanks Bill for picking that up. Douglas, the combined column of attack is to allow regimental sized attack columns where the actual component units are below paper strength. It allows approx 1,000 men attack columns which of course can take more punishment ut make brigades more brittle when they lose a compnent sub unit.
