My nominations for champagne moments and performances of the weekend:

Grittiest performance under duress: Graham Trickey's Royal Americans.. when all around were practicing to be Usain Bolt the Green jackets paced backward facing the enemy (many times)

Salem Witch Trials Award for the highest kill ratio on dice rolling : Alan Cuggy. 9 from 10.. that is wierd

The Yin & Yang balance award for Rolling 1s to order on morale and 6s on Stand and fire checks: Ray

Biggest winder upper: Mr Gerry D and his Heaven's Angels led by Father Ignatius and the Frank Sinatra gunners

Dark Horse: Bill R and his tales from Saudia

Man with the 1 liners : Sick Boy Tam Nish!

Man will a casual disinterest in the fate of General Pakenham award: Colin " I'm not worried, we've captured our objective!" Napier

Breakthrough charged award: Old Hugh with 1/50 de Ligne who cracked the knuckle

More Line calls than John McEnroe Award: Jim 'If you don't ask you don't get" Wallace

The 'this was my worst wargames defeat ever' award: David NASSAU Imrie who forgot to start (for 3 hours) on the morning of day 1

Cecil B deMille award for more men killed than a Biblical epic by a single unit award: Bill P and his Cak - adores on day 1

I can taste victory award.. Bob ' Where are my Cuirassiers?' Talbot...

I thought it was a great weekend. I enjoyed Spain better than an Easyjet full of tourists from Castleford!

He's off on his travels again so I wouldn't expect to see pics before the weekend.

Packing... who?

Just wanted to say thanks for a great weekend which hopefully will be repeated soon (though I might try to be more adventurous next time!).

Anyway off to re-draft that letter to Horse Guards...

Cheers,
Colin

Great weekend gents. Tams most alcohol free weekend since he was 10!
Colin, you still can't fire out of that bell tower!. Congratulations and promotions to our superb generals for fighting a battle on two fronts and still driving the dastardly allies off.
The Emperor would be delighted I'm sure with Marmite Marmont.
A joy to see dice lord Gerry get his eventual come uppance with 9 out of 10 casualties in one shot, he obviously didn't get his dice blessed this time or was too busy worrying about his son's small unit action elsewhere.
Good fun game in the morning. I particularly liked the card idea.
Could easily slot into any system.
Barry you should sell them like magic cards in booster packs
Thoroughly enjoyable as ever.
Thanks Barry. Even more enoyable than Russia.

Jim,

mock not the magic cards idea!!! that had crossed my mind because the cards themselves are not rule system dependent and could overlay anything..

Photos soon.. I am as Dave says 'on duty'

Hi Barry,

I know you've got March as your 1st Derby weekender date, but what are going to be your Lundin Links dates for 2012 and whats in store 8)
I also know you've got a large BLB2 planned for October at Derby...just asking because I like to plan ahead and start saving.
I know Jim O'Neil is looking forward to a BLB2 weekender at Lundin Links as he wants to cross swords against myself.

Barry, provisionally book me into the Derby BLB weekender so I can start saving up & also start beating people about the head to cover for me. As a self employed sole trader who has to work every day of the week or get some one else to do the critical stuff, logistics & planing is every bloody thing.

That's harsh Jim  How would you feel seeing Alan Cuggy throw 9 hits out of 10. Would you believe it either??

Cheers

Gerry
You may call it sarcasm........I, on the other hand, prefer to refer to it as a humorous observation!!! :-)

Some great shots of the game Barry, I think this was the best looking table we've used at the weekenders.

Looking forward to another package trip to the sun soon.
