Is D2 worth it.

Now nothing smutty here, but does rolling for one extra inch really worth it? Does it add much to the game?

Sorry if this is a bit late. It was something that came up in our last game but was forgotten.

Well I've heard an inch here or there can make all the difference...

but actually I think in this case it does matter. If a charge is declared at greater than 12" then it is less easy to judge whether it will contact or not. This means the gamblers will go and the cautious will not. This could change the course of a whole battle...

I'm tempted to come down on the side of a D3 for this one if only for continuity. I also preferred using the DAv to roll for skills for the same reason.

Of course, that fact that I bought a bucketload of DAvs and D3s to go with the original book has nothing at all to do with my reasoning.
