good morning chaps.
My Marlburian French army require some dogs for the generals etc.
Anyone any ideas for 28 mm hounds.
I don't really want any big slavering Irish wolfhound types and I've already tried irregular but don't like em.
They will not be eaten except as a last resort.
cheers
Jim

Err (cough)...

Eureka Miniatures code 100AOR30

Image

We might be persuaded to do a deal on the dogs alone if you're interested Jim.

We do a few dogs (including a large seated Poodle) in various ranges. If you are looking for something smaller - house dog like - there are a couple of small dogs in the soon to be released 18th Century Musicians sets (they come with Fredrick the Great playing he flute I think). If you are interested, drop me an email at johnc@eurekamin.com.au and I'll see if I can find a picture of them for you tomorrow.

In the interest of balance I'm sure there must be a few doggy miniatures out there with other manufacturers though.

Cheers - John

Might not be exactly what you want, but take a look at the Gripping Beast dogs.

I used the two dogs that come with the Frederick the Great Playing The Flute Vignette and they were just what I was looking for. 8)

They look more like hunting dogs such as what you might see on a fox hunt, and this is what I would imagine the upper class would take with them if they were so inclined to bring their favorite hound with them on campaign.

So I would take Eureka up on their offer and purchase some of their dogs.

There's always the Pike and Shotte War Poodle that comes with their Prince Rupert of the Rhine figure, should you need one for another French general.
