Though, predictably, their brigadier didn't survive the day.

Great weekend - good to see familiar faces and meet new ones. Looking forward to the resumption of hostilities in October!

Some commentary attached to each but perhaps not how you all remembered it!

Barry,

Thanks for the Piccies. They look very good. Even if I not agree with with all your comments  with the pictures I had a great first day. I believe that out of 20 dice rolls I had at least 14 6s  . You, as my adversary, have been not very amused :D
The 2nd day I got a bad positioned army to lead. In the center the hill was occupied only by to Regiments of horse who hadn't a real chance against the determined attacks of Gerry with his three Regiments.
Before I had a chance to reinforce the center by shifting my brigade of dutch up the Hill our center was smashed. After loosing the complete command of Andy and the re-positioning of that what remains of the Williamte wing the odds were even worse. I think I had the luckiest Brigadier on the field  . As he supported the Cavalry Charge no less than 10 attempts on his life were made but he survived all of them to receive a promotion to Wing Commander to fight another day :D .

At all it was a very nice weekend meeting old faces - Gerry, AndyT, Collin, Alan, BillP and BillR - and new faces - Shaun and Andy - and this infernal trio of umpires Bob, Ade and 'Cheat-Dice-roller' Barry .

See all (or most) of you again in October and with a Saxon Invasion Army!

Cheers,
Günter

Okay, okay Gunter... I may have said something not quite accurate.... you captured 8 sheep not 7. The rest of it is true though
