I wouldn't say that. A Tricorne comes in so many different sizes over the time of it's existence that I think IMHO they may be right as you sculpted it.

Take a look at the pic here

Looks OK to me. Not sure about the cuffs having buttons, though.

That's interesting Dan, I didn't pick that up from the material I was using (possibly because the cuffs are often covered by gloves). Can you expand on this?

None of the images in "Great Northern War 1700 - 1721. Colours and Uniforms" By Lars-Eric Höglund and Åke Sallnäs show buttons on cuffs of either infantry or cavalry. Also, if you look at the many posts by PNorberg in this forum most if not all images show no cuffs. I have seen a photo of a full-sized model infantryman with cuffs, but it is the only one I have seen. Also the cuffs appear to have been smaller than those of other armies.

Maybe Dan Schorr can weigh in on this.

The figure is fantastic and can't I can't wait for this range to come out.

After a quick googling, it looks like you are right; no buttons on the cuffs of either foot or horse. I guess I just assumed they were there, since that's how the cuff is held down usually. (I take it the Swedes must have sewed theirs down? )

In the following;

Do you mean "buttons" in place of "cuffs"? All the coats seem to have cuffs.

It may be possible that the swedes did this like the Saxons with their Kollers.
Dan Schorr:
There were no buttons. The koller was fastened with hooks and
eyes. At least initially, there were no cuffs in facing colors on the koller.

I think you are right fogleman, although I am no expert, Dan Schorr probably knows best.

One of the few remaining uniforms is thos one, belonging to Carl Wilhelm Drakenhielm, a lieutenant with the Södermanlands regemente. He was killed in Norway in 1718.

Not the best picture, but as fogleman says the cuffs seem quite small and without buttons.

You can see the same thing in this picture.

It's supposed to be Charles XII uniform from 1718, but I'm not certain.

Here's an older example, from 1687. Bigger cuffs but no buttons that I can see.

I think you can cover up the whole cuff with the gloves if you want to be on the safe side, Charles certainly seem to like them that way ;)

Anyway, I think the miniature looks great, can't wait to get my hands on them!

You all beat me to it...

As Friedrich says I think they used hooks, if I'm not mistaken theres a reference to at least the lower part of the coat being held together like this in Lars-Eric Höglund and Åke Sallnäs book.

I meant buttons! The coats do have cuffs. Sorry.
