Movies on Peter the Great

Conflict between the Swedes and their various neighbours between 1670s and 1721. Including topics on Danes, Saxons, Saxon-Polish, Russians and anyone else the boys in blue were mixing it with!

Also there is the American miniseries with Maximilian Schell as Peter based on Massies's book. The depiction of the war itself is a bit inaccurate as jumps straight from Narva to Poltava. Might have also been one of Laurence Olivier's (William III) last on screen performances as well

Haha, those battle scenes in the mini-series were funny, Swedish infantry with modern double barrel shotguns, and various other none flintlock guns.

Didn,t know that the peter the great mini series was based on massies book.
Obviously the tv studio never actually read it.
