More than two Factions in Play?

Post by Redmist1122 » Mon Dec 23, 2013 8:24 pm

Hello Barry,
Just finished reading the WI #314 article, "The resurrection of Darius O'Brien", and saw that you had three factions paying at one time...Awesome!!! How did it work out? Have you or anyone else experimented with more than three factions on the table?

Thanks.

I've had quite a few games with 3 factions playing at the same time and one of the games appears in the scenario section in the book. The main point to emphasis is that either the victory conditions are different for each faction or they are all aiming for the same target guaranteeing lots of combat.
Cheers

Dave,
I like the crazy twist of objectives in the WI article. Thank you.

I would like to say that came to me in a dream.. but I think I was drunk at the time. I remember trying to explain it to the lads at Falkirk before the game(I wasn't playing you see). Bemused grins (but then again, they always look like that... particularly Dave)

I'm always bemused at Barry's wackier ideas and if it wasn't for the fact that I know he doesn't smoke I would think he's been on the wacky baccy sometimes.
It's fortunate for you guys that Bob, Gerry and myself are there to keep him under control

I haven't seen the WI article so I have no idea what Barry has written.
The scenario I've written involved troops raiding local villages for loot and supplies but I think the 3 player version had to get cut due to lack of space if that has happened then I will post the 3 player version on the blog.

Greg, there is an AAR of one of the 3 player raids on my blog but not all the details are recorded on it.

David,
I think I remember this scenario when you first post it. Great stuff...any chance I can get your ORBAT for it?

Thanks.

The orbat will appear in the scenario in the Donnybrook rules Greg.
