Victrix Brit Foot Arti... good for Horse Artillery?

Post by 14th Brooklyn » Tue Jul 13, 2010 6:07 pm

I got me two boxes of these in the mail last weekend and was wondering... how close were the uniforms of the FA and HA? from a prilimiary look at the books I have, it seems the only difference is the headgear. Am I right or wrong. In the former case, I am wondering, if it mightbe worth asking Victrix for HA heads.

Cheers,

Burkhard

No, unfortunately there are others as well.

1) The number and arrangement of belts, and the equipment carried on them, would be different.

2) The RHA coat had hussar-style frogging instead of the bastion-shaped lace of the RA.

3) The RHA cuffs were pointed and piped with a knot, instead of the infantry-style cuff of the RA.

4) Horse gunners wore overalls with leather reinforcements, as opposed to the normal trousers of the foot gunners.

5) Cavalry boots instead of shoes and gaiters.

THX a lot... I was almost afraid, no one would know the answer.

But alas... I guess I was hoping for something too easy!

THX,
