Jean 1806 Question

I've read that the Guard cavalry was not present at Jean and that the 1st Hussars were the horse guard for Napoleon. But I still see OBs that show the Grenadiers a Cheval, Chasseur a Cheval, and Gendarme d'Elite present.

Which is correct? Was the Guard cavalry still en route to Napoleon at the time of Jena?

Greetings...

Most of my Napoleonic books are still in boxes after moving house, but a little googling shows that the Guard Chasseurs were not at Jena, and the 1st Hussars did serve as Napoleon's bodyguard that day.

The regiment missed the battle of Jena (14 October 1806), where the 1st Hussars had the privilege of escorting the Emperor. The Chasseurs did, however, take part in Napoleon's triumphal entry into Berlin.
